Donaldson Drafting & Design was founded in 2018 as an outlet for an incurable passion to design homes. The practice is intricately entwined with the identity of Tara Donaldson. As sole owner and designer, to hire Donaldson Drafting & Design to work on your project, is to hire someone as dedicated to the success and happiness of your project, as you yourself are.

Tara Donaldson completed three years at Loyalist College and graduated top of her class from the Architectural Technology program. She went straight to work at one of the Quinte area’s best local home builders in 2014. After settling into her position, Tara started studying for her BCIN exams. She currently carries the Small Building and House certifications, with a desire to expand her certifications.

After a childhood surrounded by a family in construction and an interest in business, Tara always knew what her dream was, and after four years of developing skills and building knowledge, she launched her own drafting company. What began as a simple drafting company that garnered business through word of mouth, has steadily grown over the last few years. The practice is focused on making design and home improvements accessible to all homeowners, by providing quality services for reasonable prices.

Through Tara’s dedication to design, whether through her work for a local builder or through her practice, she hopes to inspire local residents to love their homes as much as she loves drafting them.
